The Neighborhood

The project is located in the Givat Hamatos neighborhood in Jerusalem. A new neighborhood located on the seam between Talpiot, Gilo and Hebron Road, and connects the city center to the southern areas. Over 3,000 new housing units are planned in the neighborhood, alongside educational and cultural institutions and spacious green open spaces. It is a residential hub for a variety of families looking for quality housing with convenient connectivity to the city center.

The Lot

The lot on which the project was built is located on a central street corner, on a large and significant plot of land. Its location gives it openness to the landscape, quality air directions, distant views and a rare sense of space in the city. The lot utilizes the side of the Jerusalem mountain to create a system of local stone terraces, combined with rich Israeli vegetation.

The building design: between tradition and innovation

The building combines traditional Jerusalem language with contemporary interpretation. In accordance with the city's zoning ordinance, the building's casing combines the use of Jerusalem stone in three traditional masonry techniques: the ground floor of the building is clad in stone with the Tubza masonry, which characterizes the city's historic buildings. The upper floors combine Mutava and Teltish masonry - modern techniques that provide lightness and visual refinement. The entire casing was designed with finishing materials in bright, clean tones, with meticulous finishing details, and a sense of harmonious continuity from the past to the present and future.
Smart solutions were incorporated into the balconies: Sukkah balconies according to Halacha, in addition to the main balconies, standing balconies were designed in central bedrooms.

Accessibility and Infrastructure

The entrance plaza to the building is located on the upper street and allows for an area for community gathering, including gardening areas and a designated place for establishing a shared Sukkah. The building has two underground parking floors with direct and convenient access from the lower street. The lower parking level was carefully examined in relation to the historical water table, which was discovered during preliminary excavations on the lot.
